Khenpo's Humboldt State University Course is a Success
Khenpo Ugyen Wangchuck’s 6 session course ‘How to Work with the Mind through Buddhist Meditation: Part II’, offered through Humboldt State University College of Elearning and Extended Education’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) was completed on November 16.
This was a follow up to the course taught in October 2015, ‘How to Work with the Mind through Buddhist Meditation: Part I’.
The course delved into the theory and practice of Buddhist meditation and was aimed at providing students with the meditation techniques that research has shown helps to reduce stress, normalize blood pressure, and help people feel more relaxed. These tools are geared toward working with the mind and taming errant emotions. The class was open to everyone as one does not need to be a Buddhist to derive benefits from these teachings and techniques.
Khenpo will be offering ‘How to Work with the Mind through Buddhist Meditation: Part III’ October 2017.
