Annual Drupchen Chugom Monestary Tashi Yangtse, Bhutan
Led by Khenpo Ugyen Wangchuk, the annual Wrathful Guru Rinpoche, nine day Drupchen is taking place at Chugom Monastery in Tashi Yangtse Eastern Bhutan. A Drupchen or “vast accomplishment” practice is an intensive group practice that brings together all of the skillful methods of Vajrayana Buddhism to create a transcendent environment that awakens in participants the pure perception of this world as a sacred realm. Before the start of this Drupchen each year, new clothing is offered to monks and other practitioners. This year over 300 monks, nuns and lay practitioners have gathered with an aspiration for World Peace.
