EwamBhutan.org Launches on Pedgyl Lingpa's Parinirvana Anniversary

We are pleased to announce the launch of ewambhutan.org, the website for Ewam Bhutan Development Fund. Causes and conditions have arisen for this site to launch today, the 28th anniversary of Terton Pedgyl Lingpa’s parinirvana, an auspicious day to begin new activities.

Terton Pedgyl Lingpa was one of the most renowned treasure revealers of the 20th century. The Kusum Gongde cycle, known as the ‘Union of Enlightened Intent of the Three Kayas’, is one of Pedgyl Lingpa’s most profound terma. Gochen Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche, the founder and spiritual director of Ewam International Centers, is one of the primary Dharma holders of Pedgyal Lingpa’s terma lineage including the Kusum Gongde cycle.

Pedgyl Lingpa spent the last twenty years of his life in Bhutan. It is here that Khenpo Ugyen Wangchuck, as a young monk alongside Tulku Sang-ngag Rincpoche, received the complete transmission of the Kusum Gongde cycle.

In 2012, Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche appointed Khenpo Ugyen Wangchuck as President of Ewam Bhutan to help ensure the continued flourishing of this lineage in Bhutan.
